Employer Services
Vocationally-informed RTW planning and support
We provide tailored support for small and mid‑sized employers who need practical, defensible processes for managing sick leave, accommodation, and return‑to‑work.
HM Vocational helps employers strengthen their disability and return-to-work (RTW) programs with vocationally informed support that improves decisions, plans, and outcomes.
How we work with you:
We don’t replace your internal HR or disability team - we work alongside them as an external vocational resource.
Engagements can be structured as:
One-time projects (e.g., manager training + RTW toolkit build).
Ongoing support (e.g., quarterly complex case reviews, periodic training, or a small monthly retainer for consults).
Services are available virtually across Canada and in-person within Central Ontario (some exceptions, please contact).
If you’d like to explore support for your RTW/disability program or a specific complex case, please contact us to schedule a brief consultation.
-
Half-day, practical training on turning functional information into written RTW/modified work plans (duties, restrictions/limitations, timelines, documentation), aligned with recognized guidance on what good accommodation/RTW plans should include.
-
Facilitation of challenging RTW/accommodation cases where matching abilities to real work is difficult.
-
Review of your current disability/RTW workflows, documentation, and decision-making. I provide recommendations and practical tools (templates, checklists, guidance documents) to improve consistency, defensibility, and alignment with vocational best practices.
Development of clear, practical Return‑to‑Work and accommodation policies, workflows, and tools for small employers
-
Short-term, vocationally focused case management where I can add specific value—for example, complex RTW planning, job match review, or coordination with existing providers around vocational goals and labour market options.
