    About Heather Mallard

    Heather Mallard, BA, CVRP-TSA, ICVE, CCVE, RVP, is a seasoned vocational rehabilitation consultant dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations through evidence-based practices and personalized support. With over [calculate number] years of experience, Heather brings expertise in vocational assessment, program development, and career counseling, helping clients navigate complex challenges and achieve meaningful employment outcomes. Informed by a background in feminist and multicultural counselling, Heather is deeply committed to inclusive practice and has extensive experience working with diverse marginalized demographics, including individuals with intellectual disabilities, those experiencing homelessness, Indigenous communities, women in the Violence Against Women (VAW) sector, individuals experiencing Gender-Based Violence (GBV), the elderly, and those with addictions and mental health challenges. Her passion for promoting equity drives her to create tailored solutions that address systemic barriers and foster lasting success.

CAVEWAS is the only specialty Society under the umbrella of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada.

    Since 1970, the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada has represented and advocated for VR professionals from coast to coast. Our members focus on supporting people experiencing vocational challenges to overcome barriers and achieve their personal goals.

    VRA Canada members maintain the highest standards of practice through ongoing education and training. Our association provides unique online learning opportunities for VR professionals, certified continuing education materials and occasions to network with other VR professionals across Canada. Together, we’re sharing best practices and strengthening our profession.

  • Vocational Evaluation & Career Assessment Professionals

    VECAP is a nonprofit 501(c)6 organization originally founded in 1967 to promote the professions and services of vocational evaluation and work adjustment. Formerly known as the Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment Association (VEWAA), the name was changed in 2003 to better reflect the focus of the organization as well as emphasize the independent status of the organization. This group has no affiliation with the National Rehabilitation Association (NRA) or the NRA/VEWAA.

    The VECAP association is committed to advancing and improving the fields of vocational evaluation and career assessment and represents the needs of the professionals who provide those services. Its scope of services will encompass individuals who need assistance with vocational development and/or career decision making.

    VECAP is comprised of a membership of professionals who provide vocational evaluation, assessment, and career services and others interested in these services.

    VECAP members identify, guide, and support the efforts of persons served to develop and realize training, education, and employment plans as they work to attain their career goals.
